Director of Information Technology
MUSEUM seeks Director of Information Technology to manage the planning, design, implementation and operation of the Museum’s technology and information services system; position the Museum at the leading edge of new technologies through the use of technology, and the effective use of enterprise applications; provide strategic guidance to senior management regarding which emerging leading-edge technologies should be incorporated in the Museum’s overall strategic plan; oversee all stages of system planning and implementation projects to ensure the successful delivery of same; manage and maintain server environments and infrastructure, including voice and data communications; develop annual IT operations and capital budget; manage all aspects of routine support as well as disaster/contingency support of critical and non-critical systems and data to ensure stability.
B.B.A. required, M.B.A. preferred, with 10+ years experience in progressively more challenging position and at least 5 years in a supervisory role. Detailed knowledge of IP networks including DNS, DHCP, CISCO, VLANS, Firewalls, T1, DSL, Metro-Ethernet, 802.X wireless, as well as backhaul technology. Significant experience administering Windows server 2003 and 2008, administering active directory, Exchange 2003, 2007 and 2010, Vmware, Windows XP & 7, current versions of OSX in a windows server environment, as well as VOIP systems and related technologies. Experience with hubs, switches, and all types of network cabling. Strong interpersonal, administrative and organizational skills required. Business and museum background preferred; able to be on call on nights and weekends and to adjust schedule to meet the needs of the user environment.
