Description

The Director of Marketing works with the Vice President of Marketing and Development to develop marketing and communications strategic and tactical plans to complement and advance the strategic business objectives of the facility. Develops budgets in accordance with plan and hospital allocation. Responsible for maintaining and achieving budget goals while executing plan and strategies approved. Oversees the development of all collaterals from concept to execution and distribution (e.g. direct mail, product line brochures, and facility newsletters). Monitors hospital website content and functionality to support service lines and ensure effective communication with key audiences, including patients, physicians, consumers, and the community. Oversees utilization of social media channels, following established policies and guidelines while proactively pushing appropriate content out to targeted end users. Works with external resources on campaign development, execution, and media placement. Tracks results of efforts to support organizational goals, and reports same on a regular basis to facility and division leadership. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with facility administration and management teams, serving as an advisor and team member for all marketing and public relations activities. Fosters positive relationships with local broadcast and print media representatives. Serves as a facility media spokesperson. Determines appropriateness of media requests for information and oversees the development of content, timing and manner of media releases in conformance with policies and codes of ethics. Works with the VP of Marketing and Development, CEO, and corporate communications as required on routine and crisis communications. Develops and oversees community relations activities consistent with hospital business plan. Represents hospital in community organizations and events, and advises members of the administrative team with regard to their community involvement, ensuring best representation of the organization in the community. Responsible for the H2U program, including quality of programs and services offered to members, continually building membership levels and ensuring member retention.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or related field required. Masters Degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Marketing/Public Relations required. Experience in a healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
