Reporting to the Head of the Teaching Resource Center (HOS), the Education Reference Librarian provides outstanding service to ECU students, faculty, staff, and the community. The position is responsible for assisting patrons at the service desk, teaching library instructional sessions, and providing consultations to students, staff, and faculty.
The position is based in the Colonel Richard M. and Betty Debnam Hunt Teaching Resource Center (TRC) at East Carolina University. The TRC contains children and young adult materials, K-12 North Carolina state adopted textbooks for student teachers, multi-media, guided readers, teaching aids, a professional collection, and reference resources.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Master’s degree in library or information science from an ALA-accredited institution or international equivalent
-Evidence of commitment to continuous learning and professional development
-Instructional experience
