Responsibilities

Strategically manage, plan and execute College of Social Work (CSW) events on and off campus. Determines and oversees event arrangements, such as venue reservations, catering, photographer, videographer, parking and transportation, permits, equipment, entertainment, signage, seating charts, name tags, and other special request.  Organizes and directs event logistics, i.e. timeline, budget, marketing, staffing, and speaker coordination.

Establishes and maintains relationships with external audiences and constituencies such as alumni, donors, sponsors, and other campus units.  Establishes and manages contractual agreements with clients and vendors. Promotes CSW recruitment, membership and sponsorship.

Provides pre/post event information for media communications and collaborate with College of Social Work external relations personnel. Manage post-event activities such as provide feedback/appreciation, surveys, track cost, handle invoices and alumni tracking in database.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of  experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, to include Word and Excel.

Great attention to detail.

Able to work independently on tasks.

Ability to plan and execute event planning.

A valid Florida or Georgia driver’s license or the ability to obtain one.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Schedule

Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm, occasional nights & weekends for events and conference travel
