Heritage Protocol Library Associate, Florida State University Libraries

This position provides support for the Heritage Protocol & University Archives program in the Special Collections & Archives Division of Florida State University Libraries, including processing of collections, office administrative assistance, and reference/information assistance.
Assists in maintaining intellectual and physical control of the collections by performing archival administrative duties such as receiving and accessioning materials, updating accession log, and entering descriptive information into the department’s archival administration software (Archon)   and other departmental databases as necessary. Assists in general and administrative correspondence, research, and fulfilling requests for materials. Processes Heritage Protocol & University Archives materials in various formats following departmental procedures. Creates finding aids. Assists in the development and maintenance of the Heritage Protocol &   University Archives website, Facebook page, and other web 2.0/social media outlets. Assists with other projects and duties as assigned, including digitization projects, indexing and reorganization projects, shifting collections, compiling statistics, and creating promotional materials as needed.   Assists with exhibits in the Heritage Museum, FSU Libraries main exhibit room, the Mary Lou Norwood Reading Room, and online/virtual exhibits. Participating in instruction/outreach programs, occasionally in the evenings and on weekends. View the full description and apply for this job at:
