Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and four years’ experience or a combination of appropriate post high school education and experience equal to eight years.
Leadership experience supervising IT employees
Experience with computer operations, functions, and related peripherals
Experience creating and managing IT project plans.
Experience with Windows 7 workstation deployment and management.
Experience with Windows 2008 server administration
Experience administering Active Directory
Understanding of Storage Solutions and technologies
Understanding of data backup solutions and technologies
Basic understanding and functional knowledge of basic networking concepts.
Experience working successfully in a team-oriented environment.
Experience conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Experience prioritizing, organizing, and independently performing multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Experience documenting processes and systems
Background Check Requirements

Responsibilities
Serves as Information Technology expert and manager for the FSU Foundation and is responsible for overall direction, planning and system implementation. Provides solutions to complex technology problems. Manages the Foundations computing facilities, computing systems, databases, software, audio visual, and multimedia. Responsible for all workstations, lab computers and servers. Researches, develops and implements new technology solutions as necessary. Conducts planning and programming and provides advice and guidance as necessary with regard to technology support. Responsible for the supervision, training, and work plans of the IT staff. Collaborates with the Foundation’s Director of Information Services on all planning and any employee relations needed.
Liaison to Information Technology Services (ITS). Position is expected to leverage and work with existing IT systems and services that are managed by ITS. Creates reports and works with ITS to assess IT needs of the Foundation in order to track progress and demonstrate the value of the ITAPP partnership
Serves as the IT project manager for the Foundation. Consults with Foundation leadership on strategic planning and determining budgeting needs of the IT department. Researches, evaluates and recommends IT equipment and services. Provides consulting assistance in development of new/improved business capabilities.
Provides oversight and support of the following: (1) Windows Active Directory and implements best practices with regard to administration, security and performance. (2) Administration of centralized anti-virus protection, system patching/updates, and network scans. (3)The virtualized VMware ESX environment. (4) The unit*s Exchange and SharePoint environments. (5) Monitors server health and resource utilization and troubleshoots any issues with domain controllers, file/print, web (IIS), Database (MS-SQL Server) and applications servers. (6) Backup and disaster recovery. (7)The unit’s Citrix XenApp implementation. (8) The Foundation’s 3rd party packaged software solutions that are used for financial management and fundraising activities.
In collaboration with Foundation leadership, determines/documents policies and procedures and oversees the implementation and enforcement of polices. Follows the Foundation*s change management polices/procedures.
Assists the Foundation with the inventory tracking of IT equipment. Maintains access to confidential information. Interprets and applies Foundation, government and university connectivity, security, PCI compliance, and accessibility procedures. Authorizes user account access, passwords and information. Serves as liaison to other offices on campus regarding IT needs.
