POSITION SUMMARY: As part of a team, responsible for ongoing operations of all CPIC IT Services, the IT Operations Specialist will be responsible for services monitoring, meeting scheduling requirements, collaborating with and escalating to engineering and incident management to ensure swift return of service levels. The IT Operations Specialist will be responsible for communicating, coordinating and documenting daily process and procedures as well as incident resolution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Accurate and timely escalation of production incidents both internally and externally with a
strong focus on sense of urgency and customer service.
· Follow established and documented procedures to provide next path escalation of issues.
· Minimize disruption and return service as quickly as possible.
· Facilitate triage and verification of all escalated problems.
· Follow up and provide required documentation of issues through resolution.
· Work with internal teams to maintain, develop, and improve operational processes and procedures with the goal of improved TOC customer service.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Microsoft Office Skills in Excel (intermediate), Outlook and Word
· General knowledge and understanding of IT systems, networking & databases.
· Ability to efficiently and accurately work with multiple types of information and/or perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Ability to work independently.
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills, which are used to facilitate shift transition activities daily.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in related field
· ITIL Foundation Certified
· Effective presentation skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, hear and converse over the telephone, and key frequently on a computer (6 or more hours per day)
· Requires the ability to work shifts outside of normal working hours
