Tallahassee Community College (TCC) in Tallahassee, FL, announces an opening for the following continuing-contract Librarian Faculty Position to begin July 2014. TCC is a dynamic and growing comprehensive institution. Its 2013 fall enrollment of more than 13,500 students includes nearly 47 percent minority students. It enjoys a strong reputation for teaching excellence and for producing graduates with Associate of Arts degrees, Associate of Science degrees, and college credit certificates. Tallahassee is also home to two state universities, Florida State and Florida A&M. TCC partners with both universities and with a number of private, higher-education institutions to afford greater opportunities for all students, faculty, and surrounding communities. TCC also partners with area businesses and organizations to meet local workforce needs.

Faculty responsibilities include instruction, curriculum, service, support of college policies and procedures, and professional development. Starting salaries are competitive.
Minimum Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies or an equivalent degree. Preference will be given to candidates with experience or course work in educational pedagogy, library instruction, or information literacy. Librarians teach a credit-bearing Information Literacy course as part of their regular duties.
