Venture For America is seeking a contractor to support the VFA Marketing team. With the support of the Marketing Manager, you will ensure that we produce high quality content for online audiences of applicants and Fellows, as well as stakeholders in our communities.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Will be responsible for drafting and sourcing posts for VFA’s Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram profiles. Will also be responsible for monitoring chatter across these profiles and responding as necessary.

  • Will provide general coordinating support for miscellaneous copy updates such as emails, blogs and more.

  • Will handle several marketing responsibilities related to content generation, management and sourcing for our virtual 2020 Training Camp.

You:

  • Have a proven track record with content development, relationship management or overseeing social media profiles of small- to mid-sized organizations

  • Are a detail oriented, self starter who drives results with limited supervision or on a distributed team

  • Have experience working with social media management platforms such as Hootsuite or Later and internal analytics tools on Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook

  • Are comfortable managing projects on tight deadlines and communicating progress across remote teams

  • Have a working proficiency using content management systems such as WordPress

  • Are interested or have worked in marketing or communications roles in the past and looking to build more skills for future roles

 

This is a part-time, contract role for 20 hours per week through August, 2020.
