Responsibilities
The Media Specialist incumbent coordinates the planning, design, production, and dissemination of Career Center publications including print publications, flyers, handouts, advertisements, news releases, plasma screens, and all on-line publications; reviews and edits all print and on-line publications of the Career Center for consistency and accuracy; ensures publications meet University guidelines. They oversee all promotions and marketing activities of the Career Center which includes those that increase Career Center visibility and outreach; coordinates promotions and publications for all events, including career expositions, workshops and other events. The incumbent is also responsible for updating the website to reflect current Career Center news and events and uses social networking tools to promote and market services and resources. Incumbent reviews and evaluates publications, promotions and marketing activities for effectiveness.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree and 2 years related experience. Master degree preferred.
Requirements
Incumbent is required to be proficient in their knowledge of desktop publishing/graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and PhotoShop. A basic knowledge of web design and development is required.
