Acquisitions Librarian @ the Hunt Library, Daytona Beach Campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU)

Join our dynamic team as the Acquisitions Librarian at the Hunt Library, located on the Daytona Beach Campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU).  This non-tenure track position which is part of the Technical Services department will manage the acquisition and delivery of monographic, media, and serials resources, and will work closely with the Electronic Resources Librarian to facilitate acquisitions of electronic resources.
 
Duties include:  
·         Manages the acquisition of new library materials.
·         Evaluates standard selection tools and unique sources of information to identify potential additions to the collection.
·         Tracks expenditures and monies allocated, encumbered, and expended for library acquisitions using internal spreadsheets, Alma, vendor ordering platforms (GOBI, Rialto, Amazon), and the University’s accounting system, currently Workday.
·         Makes recommendations and decisions regarding collection development and the acquisitions budget.
·         Supervises and evaluates one full time staff member.
·         Maintains documentation for acquisition workflows and procedures.
·         Develops and provides analytics and reports for collection assessment and budget management.
·         Utilize library marketing tools to promote new library acquisitions.

Required qualifications: 
·         ALA-accredited master’s degree in library or information science 
·         Experience in a medium or large library
·         Experience with library collection management or electronic library services 
·         Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
·         Ability to work in a diverse environment and interact and collaborate with individuals of different backgrounds 
·         Excellent written and oral communication skills 
 
Preferred qualifications: 
·         Academic library service 
·         Experience using and allocating funds from an acquisitions budget
·         Familiarity with Alma, Rialto, Primo VE, Leganto, or Springshare
·         Social media marketing or general library marketing experience
