Digital Services Specialist @ UF Libraries

The University of Florida’s, George A. Smathers Libraries seek a Digital Services Specialist who will administer centralized processes relating to digital reproduction of special, unique, rare and distinctive collections of the Special and Area Studies Collections Department (SASC). The position coordinates complex workflows relating to the digitization of SASC holdings, including managing reproduction requests from patrons and collection managers, managing intellectual rights metadata, and participating in the planning and implementation of digital projects. The Specialist maintains regular and effective communication with patrons, other SASC personnel, and staff in other units of the Libraries including Digital Production Services, Conservation, Cataloging and Discovery, Fiscal Services. The position manages data and documentation about digital services, and provides training on procedures and workflows. As needed, the Specialist participates in supervision of students and other personnel, and participates in outreach and public services activities.
