    Indexer–Alexander Street Press

    Alexander Street Press is looking for a part-time indexer to work with our new collection, Engineering Case Studies Online. This collection will dramatically improve teaching and research by providing a single, comprehensive source for a wide range of video and text material focusing on engineering failures and successes. The indexer will be working with documentaries, visualizations and simulations, case studies, lectures and interviews from leading engineering institutions.

    This job is ideal for an MLIS student looking to gain experience working with publisher metadata. Open to remote employment, but must be available during office hours. Hourly rate $15 per hour.

     

    Job Requirements:

    – Must have taken an indexing course at an accredited library school.

    – Able to work 30 hours per week, from June through end of August.

    Highly desired:

    – Familiarity with engineering terms and concepts, particularly in the areas of mechanical, aerospace, and civil engineering.
