LAC Group is seeking a dynamic consultant to join our expanding practice. Our library consultants are thought-leaders, excellent communicators (oral and written), have excellent project management and planning skills and are entrepreneurial in nature. When not actively working on a client project, our consultants are involved with webinars, contributing to LAC’s blog, website and other marketing materials, as well as responding to requests for proposals. Because we advise leaders, we are looking for those that have led, but also can communicate, analyze, review workflow & policies, observe without judgment, develop procedures, and provide reviews.
What we do for our clients: LAC’s approach to library consulting follows a proprietary methodology, which includes a Market Analysis, Future & Current State Analysis, and GAP Analysis. Our proven implementation and execution strategies can also be included in the process, as required by the engagement.

Position Qualifications:
• Required
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5-7 years of experience in library or library function management
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Ability to plan and execute projects within time and budget constraints
• Strong analytical strategic planning and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management
• Advanced degree in Library or Information Science
Work Environment: The selected candidate can work from a nearby LAC Group office or from home. Location is open to all US cities. Travel to client locations required. Preferred locations: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Washington DC.
