General Summary

Housed within the Office of Legislative Services, the Division of Law Revision’s statutory duties are as described in §11.242, Florida Statutes.  Generally, the Division is responsible for the study, revision, and publication of the general statutes and laws of the state as adopted each year. The Division ensures that legislative actions each session or election are properly incorporated into the text of the Laws of Florida, Florida Statutes, Florida Constitution, and the relevant tables and indices. The Division is also tasked with the sales and distribution of the final products.

The successful applicant will be chiefly responsible for the annual creation of the Index to General Laws, all updates to the General Index to the Florida Statutes, and the Definitions Index to the Florida Statutes.  This position will perform both the actual indexing work as well as oversee any independent contractor(s) performing indexing work.  This position will also be expected to cross-train within other areas of the Division to support the revision, publication, and sales and distribution functions as a whole.
