Librarian II, Reference and Instruction @ NSU

Nova Southeastern University’s Alvin Sherman Library in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida now has a full-time librarian position open. This is a position that requires only two years previous experience! Perfect for people moving up in the profession. Starting salary is commensurate with experience.

 

The primary purpose of this position is serving as the liaison to the Abraham S. Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice, and assisting in the planning, coordinating, promoting, and development of web instruction resources and tutorials. This job requires some travel to sites to deliver instructional training, particularly during weekends and evenings.

 

Required experience:

  1. Master’s in Library Science from an ALA-accredited school.
  2. Two years professional library experience.
  3. Fluent in English and Spanish.

 

Preferred experience:

  1. Experience with the development of online instructional materials.
  2. Experience with distance library services.
  3. Instructional experience.
  4. Demonstrated experience in developing instructional materials in a variety of formats.
  5. Professional of paraprofessional experience providing public service in some type of library setting.
  6. Experience with web design in a work setting.
