Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Required: Graduate degree from a library/information science program accredited by the American Library Association. Understanding of general library procedures. Evidence of organizational skills and attention to detail. Evidence of a history of completing projects independently. Ability to contribute to a team-oriented, collaborative environment, as well as to work independently; problem-solving ability. Working knowledge of technology in an academic environment. Ability to work effectively with colleagues, students, faculty and staff.
Preferred: Undergraduate degree in the sciences. Health sciences library experience, including database searching OR volunteer experience in a health care environment. Familiarity with medical vocabulary and evidence?based practice as it relates to the literature. Membership in the Academy of Health Information Professionals. Experience with EndNote, Mendeley, or Zotero. Experience with Moodle learning management system.

This library faculty member will provide assistance and direct instruction to learners in all 3 schools, in addition to faculty, residents, fellows, and staff. Depending on qualifications, the position can be appointed as a non-tenure track General Librarian, or on the tenure-track as an Assistant Librarian. Subsequent promotion and tenure depend on excellent job performance, as well as a successful record of teaching, research and service.
