For the experienced Librarian who is a professionally trained individual with special qualifications to aid students in research, holds a M.L.S. degree or the equivalent,  resides in Miami-Dade County, FL, wants to work a flexible schedule, and wants to join one of the fastest growing private Universities, this is the ideal job for you.  As the Librarian, you will supervise and manage library and instructional resources and facilitate their integration into all phases of the institution’s curricular and educational offerings. In your role as the Librarian, you will quickly become a key member of our team and provide outstanding support to the students.  You will be key in assisting in the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures to maintain the University’s collections and library circulation.  You will be essential in coordinating and providing instruction in library skills, research methods and web-based library skills development. Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal systems, Library of Congress system and automated library systems and your proven ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment with students, staff and faculty will enable you to make an impact across the University.  You will direct the Library Management Information System implementation and maintenance (including policy file, security assignments, borrower information loading, documentation, distribution, reports, and troubleshooting). You will open, close and secure the Library, ensuring the facility is appropriately staffed during scheduled hours

Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in information systems, desire to participate in documented professional growth activities are essential to this role along with the desire to take ownership and manage the University Library.  Additionally, your exceptional communication skills will enhance relations with students to build a strong network that will support the growth and demands of this dynamic University.

Knowledge of Spanish is desirable but not a requirement
