Minimum Job Requirements:
Reference & Customer Service
Experience conducting complex reference and research assistance, including in-depth literature and resource searching and knowledge of key science resources and databases, such as Web of Science, SciFinder-n, and Scopus. Experience investigating new and emerging technological solutions relevant to supporting reference and research services. Familiarity with the scholarly research lifecycle and services supporting scholarly communications activities.
Instruction and Outreach Services
Experience providing instruction, with the ability to conduct instruction sessions in-person and virtually. Experience in the development of online instruction tools, video tutorials, and outreach activities. Strong presentation skills and experience applying the ACRL Information Literacy Framework in the development of instructional content. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility within teaching, learning, and/or research services.
Communications and Marketing
Experience communicating information to a wide and diverse audience, writing informatively in accordance with a style guide, creating promotional graphics for both online and in print, video instruction experience, and creating marketing campaigns for library services and tools.
Education/Experience: Position requires a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from a program accredited by the American Library Association and 2 years of experience, preferably in a library or research setting that demonstrates a commitment to the mission of research libraries (e.g., providing researcher support, building research collections, creating programming that furthers the mission of a research community); or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
