Description:
The St. Lucie County Library System located on Florida’s Treasure Coast, seeks a dynamic, creative and forward-thinking professional to fill the role of the Supervising Technical Services Librarian in a 6-branch library system. This highly responsible position leads a team of 5 paraprofessionals in the essential mission of acquiring, cataloging, and processing resources for a 6-branch public library. This position is responsible for overseeing the System’s collection and works with Branch Librarians to coordinate the direction and balance of the library system’s collection. This position collaborates with staff to anticipate and meet community collections expectations. This Librarian reports to the Head of Information Systems and works closely with the Library Director during the budget process.

Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Library/Information Science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association preferred.
At least four (4) years of progressively responsible library experience, including (2) years working in Technical Services or Collection Management area preferably in a Public Library using Dewey decimal classification. Demonstrated experience as a supervisor in a library or other setting is preferred.
