Responsibilities
Program coordinator responsible for managing data collection associated with a for a 4-year NIH-funded project in the School of Communication Science and Disorders.
· Startup and management of a new federally funded grant. Supporting the recruitment of school-based speech-language pathologists for data collection during the study, management and oversight of all aspects of data collection (i.e., speech sound treatment data variables), scheduling and management of child-level data collection (i.e., standardized test administration), contact and coordination with testing sites, creating and implementation of training modules for data collectors, training and fidelity checks of data collectors, contributions to the annual report writing process, maintaining documents associated with Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval and amendments, managing participant incentives, and oversee undergraduate and graduate research assistants. Robust experience with the administration of speech, language, and literacy tests is required. Data collection and annual project meetings will require travel within the state of Florida Participation in manuscript and presentation preparation, approval and amendments, managing participant incentives, and oversee undergraduate and graduate research assistants.
· This position has an essential position at FSU to ensure the specific goals and objectives of the project are met on a day to day basis. The responsibilities include: Interact with the local school sites to assist in subject recruitment, maintaining contact with study-consented SLPs, scheduling training sessions and fidelity checks for data collectors, and ensuring that all study-consented children receive the full battery of tests.
· Collaborate with Data Manager to prepare data for analysis and reporting. Monitor the uploading of training data and testing data to the REDcap database. Oversee the backup of all data.
· Contribute to the manuscript and/ or presentation preparation and reporting of project outcomes.
Qualifications
Master’s degree; or a Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience related to the duties of this position; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience related to the duties of this position. (Note: or a combination of post-high school education and experience equal to six years.)
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree and Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech Language Pathology.
