Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Online (WDPRO), a division of the Walt Disney Company, creates world-class immersive online & mobile experiences for premier vacation brands including Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line and Disney Vacation Club. WDPRO has offices in Los Angeles, Anaheim, Seattle, Hong Kong and Orlando where we design and develop results-driven websites and mobile applications.
Responsibilities Based in Orlando Florida and reporting to the Manager, Account Management, the Senior Website Account Manager will work with business partners to bring to life their Marketing, Sales, and operational needs on the Parks and Resorts (P&R) websites. This position works closely with leaders across Marketing, Sales and Operations and all WDPRO disciplines. The ideal candidate will have both an understanding of eCommerce websites and online marketing on owned and operated websites. The candidate will need to have very strong collaboration and influencing skills. The position will require up to 25% travel.
Basic Qualifications • Relationship Management – The Senior Website Manager, under guidance from their leader, manages partner expectations, scope, budget discussions and project communications.
o Develops strong partner relationships
o Provides partners with a consistent point of contact and accountability for their online business needs
o Provides strong business thinking to on our partner’s various online business needs
o Can frequently shift focus across projects or lines of business
o Is able to articulate WDPRO’s online strategy
o Works to deliver solutions to business partner needs within the established online strategy
• Market Research: The Senior Website Account Manager helps shape market and guest research, providing the online point of view and analysis of the data, recommending actionable online strategies and tactics.
o Participates in defining focus group and usability testing as needed
o Analyzes market trends, user profiles, qualitative research, usability results, Omniture data, sales data, attendance data and secondary source information to identify opportunities for initiative that will improve guest satisfaction, penetrate new or lapsed markets and/or extend the Parks and Resorts bran
o Tracks industry trends and competitive initiatives, striving to keep our products, if not on the cutting edge, at least to industry best practices
o Performs ongoing competitive analysis
• Product/Account Planning – The Senior Website Account Manager, along with the Manager and Director, develops Annual Operating Plans (AOP) for partners online initiatives, including initial project lists and budgets. He/She tracks on-going forecasts and works with Project Managers to gain approval for re-allocations or budget overages.
o Develops business plans, initiatives, and operating practices to improve guest satisfaction
o Works with partners to ensure appropriate budgets are set to accomplish their goals
• Requirements Definition: The Senior Website Account Manager is responsible for translating marketing concepts into detailed product requirements.
o Generates project briefs to illustrate the essential elements of a project including objectives, strategies, target audience, background, and execution considerations
o Often writes the detailed business requirements, or at least owns their quality
• Program/Project Leadership – The Senior Website Account Manager is responsible for the on-time, on-budget, on-strategy delivery of marketing related projects
o Escalates unresolved business, strategy, scope, and budget issues as appropriate to the Manager/Director
o Is primarily responsible for defining, prioritizing, and driving acceptance of project objectives and scope with the project team and partners
o Ensures appropriate review and sign-off of key deliverables with WDPRO executives and partners
o Fosters effective working relationships with internal WDPRO Creative, Production, and Technology teams and often brokers solutions between them
• A minimum of 5 years combined business and online experience
• Experience with technical, user and business issues in a fast moving online organization
• Ability to anticipate, identify, and articulate the impact of emerging industry trends on our business
• Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skills, including an ability to communicate effectively at the Manager/Executive level
• Ability to work collaboratively across large matrix organizations
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
