The State Library of Florida seeks an enthusiastic innovative individual to serve as our outreach librarian. The successful candidate will promote, coordinate and support awareness of State Library services to state employees through webinars, social media and other marketing efforts. This is a part-time, 20 hour per week position and serves as part of our reference department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Master’s degree in library science from a program accredited by the American Library Association.
• One year of professional or non-professional library experience.
• Experience providing in-person and online reference.
• Outreach or bibliographic instruction experience is desired.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of the use of social media as a professional tool.
• Ability to communicate with various groups through presentations.
• Ability to develop flyers and brochures
• Knowledge of standard and specialized research tools.
