Responsibilities for this job include:
- Position works directly with and provides oversight of the Student Alumni Association. Incumbent is expected to reinforce a collaborative and supportive relationship within and among students and the Alumni Association. The position oversees all activities and related functions of SAA and provides event support for the Programs Department.
- Contributes to the planning, coordination and execution of the Student Alumni Association (SAA). Develop and implement programs and events that enhance the SAA. Serves as an advisor for the SAA and manage and advise the SAA Executive Board, Ambassadors and its members. Contributes to the budget planning process and manages budgets related to SAA and SGA. Obtains sponsors for various SAA programs to generate revenue. Manages all SAA social media platforms and creates campaigns and content calendar.
- Responsible for the development of new student programs and adds value to existing programs such as career networking, professional development, leadership development and other special events. Provides guidance with the structure of program procedures, policies and standards designed to assist students when conducting and evaluating programs. Collaborates with internal Membership team on recruitment strategy and membership campaigns.
- Assists Programs and Outreach team with event management support related to the following; creating online events in appropriate platforms, facilitates virtual events through online and social platforms, drafts copy for email messaging related to programmatic needs, creates event graphics for online events, assists with execution of both in person and online event and prepares reports associated with events.
- Responsible for generating sales of the FSU Ring program. Works closely with internal Communications team on promotion of the ring through email messaging and social media campaigns to generate revenue for the Association. Works with other partners on campus and alumni to generate awareness of the program.
- Manages student volunteers for Alumni Association and University events. Sits on the University Homecoming Committee and is responsible for the Homecoming Parade and Chief and Princess. Manages Scholarship Stewardship program that engages recipients of the Alumni Association’s five scholarship programs. Other duties as assigned.
