GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: 

The Systems Analyst II performs setup and technical support of all computer systems, network operating systems, and networks (both LAN and WAN). In addition, this position supports limited system administration servers and various network and infrastructure devices, including installation/imaging, patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assists with the administration, connectivity, and monitoring of desktop and peripheral devices in the organization.

• Consults with users and conducts information assessments to determine user needs and define system requirements.

• Coordinates and plans the acquisition of hardware, software, and services.

• Conducts ongoing computer system audits to evaluate the utility and efficiency of hardware, software, and communications  components.

• Coordinates and ensures the standard implementation of policies, procedures, and systems operations.

• Coordinates the establishment of methods and procedures for the use of desktop systems including hardware, software, communications, and user training.

• Manages the inventory tracking system for hardware and all software licensing.

• Assists in establishing and maintaining connectivity to the Wide Area Networks/Local Area Networks.

• Defines and documents best practices and support procedures.

• Provides desktop and user support for all departments.

• Provides after-hours support as well as occasional weekend maintenance.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• A+ or Net+ (preferred)• MCP or MCSE (preferred)• Help Desk industry-recognized certification e.g. HDI, STI, SSPA (preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
• 3-5 years of IT experience, preferably in a health care setting.
KNOWLEDGE:
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft products and operating systems.
• Proficient knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP, routing, network devices and topologies.
• Proficient knowledge of wireless devices, printers, servers, desktops, and laptops.
SKILLS:
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Telecommunications and/or call center experience.
• Desktop support experience.
• Experience supporting users in Windows environments.
• Direct experience with training multiple users in software applications.
• Ability to prioritize work and responsibilities.
• Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently.
• Must be a team player.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:This individual must be available for a flexible work schedule to perform routine and planned network administration and development. The majority of work is performed around the normal business hours of the imaging center with the exception of maintenance and administration of systems not in use after hours.
