Video and Digital Content Associate @ FAIR

The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) is searching for a Video and Digital Content Associate who will assist in editing and producing videos, photos, graphics, audio, podcasts, memes, gifs, and other digital content for FAIR’s social media platforms and website. To be considered for the position, the candidate must demonstrate in a cover letter that they believe strongly in FAIR’s mission to seek solutions that help reduce the negative impact of uncontrolled immigration on the nation’s security, economy, workforce, education, healthcare, and environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit videos, images, podcasts, animations, motion graphics, and still graphics for distribution across FAIR’s digital platforms
  • Obtain images, videos, and content to be used in projects
  • Collaborate with and respond to cross-departmental content requests
  • Brainstorm, develop, and execute digital strategies and campaigns
  • Assist with social media and email communication campaigns, including writing content, developing graphics, and posting to the website and social media accounts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Film & Cinematography, or a related field required
  • 1-2 years’ experience editing video, audio, graphics, and other digital content
  • Experience in media production, motion graphics, film & cinematography, or related field
  • Proficiency in FCPX and/or Adobe Premiere (or other non-linear video editing software), Audition, Adobe CC, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects

Skills required:

  • Attention to detail and knowledge of recording and editing equipment and software to obtain the highest quality possible within a reasonable project timeframe – including video and audio formats, file organization and management, consistent frame rates, resolution, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (scriptwriting a plus)
  • Social media creation, storytelling, and communications campaigns
  • Adapt to different kinds of recording and editing equipment
  • Major Bonus: Proven experience in print graphic layouts for multi-page reports, including making charts, images, and graphics using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign or other similar software

Starting salary $60,000 for 2 years’ experience. Plus, signing bonus.

This position is at FAIR’s Washington, DC headquarters. The position is exempt, full-time offering generous benefits; the salary is commensurate with experience.
