Web Developer (Marketing Team) (7/11/2018)
Datamaxx Applied Technologies, Inc., a leader in Law Enforcement Technologies is accepting resumes of qualified candidates for the position of Web Specialist.
The successful candidate will work with our marketing and engineering team members to design, build, test and maintain multiple web applications and are able to contribute creatively as a graphic designer. Candidates need to be extremely self-motivated, passionate and creative. Candidates also need to be able to work under pressure and must have a sense of urgency with respect to deliverables.
Essential Duties:
- Be responsible for all company websites, including content upload and maintenance, quality control, construction of new pages, and search engine optimization.
- Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
- Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications and digital media.
- Assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting.
- Work with our marketing team members in the development of web and print graphics.
Qualifications:
- Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Solid Understanding of relational database systems and Object Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (preferably C#) and HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript.
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Knowledge of SEO principles.
- Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite, Photoshop and content management systems.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of programming language and technical terminology.
- Attention to detail.
- The ability to work well in a team environment, but can also self-direct and work independently
- Self-motivated, reliable, and innovative.
- B.A./B.S. degree (preferably in Computer Science or related field) or relevant experience.
