Web Developer, Tuscaloosa (AL) Public Library

In the Department of Information Technology, under the direction of the director of Information Technology, the Web Developer will be responsible for the format, design, and coding of the library web site and service content; perform basic trouble shooting of web services; assist with the maintenance of web applications; and partner with other library team members to leverage progressive technologies to create and improve standards and processes. Essential to success in this role is the ability to creatively solve problems and thrive in a dynamic environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS. An associate’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience developing web sites in an open-source environment such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla required. Proficiency in C, Python, or PHP. Experience in various languages such as JavaScript/Query, XSL/XSL-FO, Perl, SQL, and Java. Experience developing ADA-compliant web pages. Experience using Photoshop or similar image-editing applications. Experience using video and audio. Experience maintaining Online Catalog systems or working in a library.

SALARY RANGE. $19.00-$23.00 per hour.
