Graphic Design, Media Production Skills for Internships

Basic Areas of Internship Service:

  • Graphic Design
  • Film Editing/Media Production Skills
  • Web Design / Social Media Literacy

Graphic Design:

Comfortable with both Apple and PC platforms

Proficient with following software: Adobe Creative Suite- InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, basic Dreamweaver

Able to use a tablet / good hand drawing skills

Familiar with basic copy right law

Familiar with DaFont

 

Film Editing:

Operating knowledge of a Digital SLR Camera

Proficient with Adobe Premier

Experience in a PR or advertising capacity making advertising promotional videos

 

Web Design / Literacy

Basic HTML, CSS, JAVA Script, and JAVA programming language literacy

Viral Media Management experience including Facebook, Twitter, and Tumbler

 

Other Qualities:

At least two semesters before graduation preferred

GPA 2.5 or higher

Good time management skills

Experience working on a deadline

Interest in the Askew Student Life Center’s Film Committee or Game Committee activities

PASSION FOR MOVIES and the Student Life Cinema

 

The Askew Student Life Center has a student PR/Marketing Team and a student Media Team that prepare advertising and in-house promos and slides to advertise our events.  Internships are non-paid for credit only and can be for 3 hour or 6 hour credits.
