From the Heart with Jane Marks is looking for energetic community minded interns to support the creative team with growing the digital media presence of the brand.
Our interns are essential in helping to build a new website and execute the well-planned digital content calendar connecting with our audience to cultivate a sense of community and belonging and supporting our presence online. The interns will work with the Creative Team to help bring to life the website and create captivating, positive, fun, inspirational, and contagiously encouraging content that audiences will want to share.
Community building requires accurate, timely, and authentic responses to all inquiries, using a kind, optimistic, empathetic conversational tone while adhering to the mission and guidelines with a solution-oriented mindset. Our interns help encourage our current audience and event attendees to participate in our digital community and invite new audience members to engage with us when we see them in person and attract them online.
Candidates work remotely and must attend at least four in-person meetings. This role is not a coffee runner or photocopier but an enjoyable hands-on learning opportunity to add to your digital content portfolio, measure your success and enter the industry confident and ready to make an impact.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with creative team to build and design website for speaking and media personality using outline and stored content.
- Populate website and blog with existing stored content.
- Support creative team to execute audience engagement campaigns and maintain and increase interactions with our global community on social media platforms
- Using outstanding written and verbal communication skills, follow up and respond to emails, voicemails, website inquiries, and social media and monitor contests
- Research for cultural competencies, celebrations, and recognitions to diversify content
- Research and report on metrics tracking audience engagement and insights
- Assist with the development of editorial calendar and campaigns based on reports
- Meet monthly Key Performance Indicators to support department engagement goals
- Draft and edit content (written, graphics & videos) for posts and emails
Essential Requirements and Qualifications
- Pursuing a related degree, diploma, or certificate
- Prior experience in customer service, i.e., as a receptionist, host, food or retail service, street team, or event booth work.
- Customer Service Social media experience
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Google Suite, Social Media forums, Zoom, search engines
- Strong communication skills and experience drafting correspondence
- Consistent attention to detail, self-motivated and interdependent working style
- Strong research skills, organized, eager to take on responsibilities and ask questions for clarification and increased knowledge
