CCI Alumnus Selected as Circle of Gold Honoree

College of Communication and Information (CCI) alumnus Zach Heng was inducted into the FSU Alumni Association’s Circle of Gold, an honor given to those who exemplify FSU’s excellence through their service, achievements, and dedication to the University. These honorees were recognized at the FSU Alumni Awards ceremony on October 31, 2025.

“The Circle of Gold is more than an honor; it is a reminder of the communities and circles of support that shaped me and the responsibility I carry to pay it forward,” said Heng.

Heng emphasized Florida State’s impact on his incredibly successful career, highlighting the opportunities and platforms that led him to where he is today. He also stressed that his current understanding of leadership and desire to invest in the next generation of leaders are because of his time as an FSU student.

“FSU is where I first found my voice and sense of belonging. Getting involved with a variety of student organizations really opened my eyes to the power of community across the student body,” said Heng.

Since graduating from Florida State, Heng has worked in a variety of roles, from consulting analyst to project manager to co-chair of various boards of directors. Now, as Founder and Owner of The Heng Group, LLC, Partner and Co-owner of Yunnan by Potomac Restaurant Group, and National Head of Partnerships of Ascend, Heng continues to give back to all the communities he is part of as a role model, leader, and now, Circle of Gold honoree.

“This honor is not just mine; it belongs to every person who has believed in me and every community that continues to shape my journey,” said Heng.
