Thriftly – Advertising & Growth Intern

Thriftly is an FSU student-led business and a rapidly growing student marketplace at FSU, and we’re looking for advertising majors to help drive user growth and brand awareness on campus. Interns will work on planning and executing advertising campaigns, including social media content strategy, on-campus promotions, event marketing, and creative messaging targeted specifically at college students. You’ll help identify target audiences, test different strategies, track engagement and conversion metrics, and refine campaigns based on what performs best. This is a hands-on, early-stage opportunity where interns have real ownership and influence. You’ll be building campaigns from idea → execution → results, with measurable impact you can speak to in interviews, while helping shape the future growth of Thriftly as it continues to expand on campus. Example Responsibilities Include:

  • Help plan and execute on-campus advertising initiatives (flyers, dorm outreach, events, partnerships)
  • Conduct informal audience research (polls, surveys, student feedback) to refine messaging
  • Brainstorm and test creative growth experiments to increase app downloads and engagement
