Five iSchool Alumni Serve on FLA Board of Directors

Keeping with one of the Core Values of their alma mater, five FSU School of Information alumni serve and lead in their profession as members of the Florida Library Association Board of Directors. Five of the eleven members of the Board of Directors earned a degree from FSU:

President: Eric Head (’03, M.S. Information Studies)

Vice President/President-elect: Laura Spears (’16, Ph.D. Library and Information Studies, ’07, M.S. Library and Information Studies)

Region 2 Director: Matthew Selby (’14, M.S. Library and Information Studies)

Region 5 Director: Heather Sostrom (’01, M.S. Library and Information Studies)

Region 6 Director: Renaine Julian (’14, M.S. Library and Information Studies)

Serving as advocates for libraries and promoting excellence in Florida libraries, the Florida Library Association provides professional and leadership development for staff, volunteers, and supporters of libraries.
