SparkFSU campaign to benefit Diem Brown Scholarship Fund

Diem Brown
Diem Brown

You’ve probably seen Diem Brown on television.

Her bubbly personality was a part of many seasons of The Challenge on MTV and  where she also worked as an entertainment reporter. Brown was a two-time cancer survivor and after a courageous journey to fight ovarian cancer, she passed away in November 2014 at the age of 34. Diem was a Florida State Seminole at heart.

She fell in love with the campus from the moment she arrived as a freshman. As a Communication major and dedicated member of Delta Gamma Sorority, she fully embraced both her love for academics and activities and everything FSU. After graduation, Diem continued to stay involved with FSU, remaining a loyal and ardent fan.

Diem was a successful television personality,  entertainment reporter and entrepreneur. She was a force to be reckoned with, as exemplified by her competitive spirit on the MTV’s The Challenge but most especially during her brave battle with ovarian cancer.  After achieving remission from her second diagnosis, Diem started her seventh Challenge Season, Rivals II, just two weeks after her last chemotherapy session. Her team went on to finish in fourth place.

A fundraising campaign for the Diem Brown Scholarship Fund is happening now through SparkFSU. SparkFSU provides those who love and support Diem’s legacy the opportunity to  ensure that her lifelong wish to provide resources to those experiencing hardships live on.

The scholarship will be awarded to students going through hardships and need emergency financial assistance due to unforeseen and extenuating circumstances that affect their abilities to pursue their academic goals. Your donation to the Diem Brown Scholarship Fund will be making sure that new generations of Seminoles will be able to pursue their education, regardless of life’s obstacles.

Through this scholarship Diem’s unconquered spirit and legacy will live on forever. Your support in sharing this initiative with other friends and networks will be very much appreciated.
