Dr. Stephen McDowell, director of the School of Communication and Phipps Professor of Communication, will participate in a public forum at the University of Central Florida on Oct. 13, 2011, on “People Power, Politics and Global Change.”

Other panelists are Sam Graham-Felsen, global emerging media strategist; Fiona Hill, director of the Center on the United States and Europe at the Brookings Institution; and Ted Reynolds of St. Andrews University and UCF.

The event, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., will be held in the Pegasus Ballroom at the UCF Student Union. There is no charge to attend but advance registration is required.
