The 8th South Asian Media and Cultural Studies conference will be held on the mornings of February 10-11, 2022. This conference brings together researchers and practitioners in the field of South Asian Media and Cultural Studies from around the world, including scholars, graduate students, public officials, and diplomats.
This year’s presenters join us from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and India. Each research presentation is pre-recorded and available to view through the conference program. The conference days will include a live keynote address as well as live roundtables discussing the themes arising from the research presentations.
“This is a great opportunity to understand current questions and issues about media in a very exciting and important part of the world, South Asia,” said Dr. Stephen McDowell, Dean of the College of Communication and Information.
Students, faculty, and staff are all welcome to attend the conference and watch the presentations. For more information on the conference, click here.
