The College of Communication & Information is pleased to announce Jessica Wendorf Muhamad, Ph.D. is joining the School of Communication as an assistant professor starting Fall 2017.
Wendorf Muhamad is the director of the PEAKS Lab, a research lab focused on developing evidence-based interventions for social issues through participatory action research. Her research examines experiences, such as game-based interventions, can influence individuals through participatory methodologies and mixed method approaches.
Her research has been published in prominent journals such as Journal of Health Communication, Health Communication, Computers in Human Behavior, and Journal of Industrial Medicine.
Previously, Wendorf Muhamad was an assistant professor in the Division of Prevention Science adn Community Health at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She received her PhD in Communication from the University of Miami and a Master’s in International Administration.
