Communication Intern

The intern position will be working in our Tallahassee office with the Director of Marketing & Business Development and the Marketing Team and will be responsible for supporting the following:


  • Write and submit press releases within the style and brand guidelines of the firm
  • Catalog published articles
  • Manage social media for updates, posts, promotions, events, etc.
  • Work with various firm teams and team members to implement and support their writing needs (i.e. award submissions, resume updates, blogs)
  • Follow national accounting news in order to write blogs and articles for THF website and social media
  • Work with marketing team to write content/copy for firm intranet and website
  • Actively participate in event planning to include holiday party, insurance conference, Chamber conference, recruiting events, and client social
  • Review requests for proposals and be involved in the writing and editing of the proposal responses
  • All other marketing and administrative duties as assigned



We are looking for a self-motivated student who is passionate about writing, social media, event planning, and all aspects of marketing.  Must be a detail oriented person.  Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.  Minimum qualifications the candidate must meet are:


  • Be self-motivated
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent research skills
  • Be highly skilled at paying attention to the details
  • Be able to communicate effectively with other firm team members and external vendors
  • Be willing to think creatively
  • Have the ability to multi-task
  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel knowledge
  • Dress in appropriate business attire
