CCI Leadership Board Member Linda Alexionok Recognized as an Inspire Award Honoree

Linda Alexionok, College of Education alumna and CCI Leadership Board member, was recently named as an Inspire Award honoree. The Inspire Award for FSU Women of Distinction honors FSU alumni who are leaders in their industry and serve as an inspiration to current students and young alumni. Linda and her fellow honorees will be recognized at the 6th Inspire Awards Brunch on March 25th in conjunction with Women’s History Month.

Linda shared with CCI what receiving this award means to her, stating “It is an incredible recognition, and I am honored to be receiving this award for my work and efforts–made possible by the education and professional support I received from FSU as a student and throughout my career.”

Alexionok is recognized as a female “trailblazer” for her achievements in becoming the first female CEO of a community bank in Tallahassee as well as the first female bank president in North Florida. Leveraging her 30+ years of experience in education, banking, finance, advocacy and public policy, Linda is currently a co-founder of a newly created social enterprise known as the SIE CoLab Adaptive Leadership Institute and ValueNet. The purpose of the enterprise is to inspire, prepare, and support a community of innovative and entrepreneurial young leaders. The enterprise seeks to equip individuals, organizations, and communities with the tools, mindset, and skills to apply a human-centered and adaptive leadership approach that systemically addresses the urgent social, environmental, and economic challenges facing our rapidly-changing world.

Alexionok states that “involving students at the SIE CoLab builds on her desire to immerse students in their academic fields through experiential learning.” For over two decades, Linda has remained committed to creating learning environments for FSU students that advance their academic knowledge, strengthen their personal growth, and expand their profession development. When asked what advice she would give to future female leaders, she responds, “Seek opportunities to use the power of your leadership to advocate and accelerate social and entrepreneurial practices and policies that are in service to the benefit of people, planet, and prosperity.”
