CI undergraduate student Cedric Nabe was recently awarded an FSU Research & Creativity Award. The award exists to foster directed research and creative opportunities for undergraduate students. Cedric will receive a summer stipend of $4000 to carry out his project-building an online database application that will enhance communication and interaction among athletes and athletic staff.
“The idea was contrived via a discussion with my technology professor Ebe Randeree last fall semester. In conversing about some of my dreams and goals regarding my IT major/career, he helped focus my thoughts by suggesting that I use my knowledge of IT to facilitate the student-athlete,” said Cedric.
“Under the direction of David Miner, Assistant Professor in Information Practice and my first database class professor who introduced me to the principles of database design and management, I will produce an easy and efficient structure for data to be stored and retrieved.”
