Students Honored at Celebration of Graduate Student Excellence

Students from the College of Communication & Information are being recognized by the Graduate School at Florida State University for their work in teaching, research and scholarship. The honorees will be celebrated at a ceremony on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the FSU Alumni Center.

The School of Information will be honored as a Program for Institutional Excellence (PIE).

Ciera Lorio

Ciera is honored as the 2017 Undergraduate Research Post-Doc/Graduate Mentor Award Recipient. As a doctoral student in the School of Communication Science & Disorders, she was recently awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student award from the School.

Dawn Betts-Green

Dawn is recognized for an external award, the Point Foundation LGBTQ Scholars Program. As a doctoral student in the School of Information, Dawn researches LGBTQ young adults in the context of rural libraries in the southern U.S.

Kelsa Bartley

Kelsa is recognized for an external award, the American Library Association Spectrum Scholarship. As a graduate student in School of Information, Kelsea is pursuing the Health Informatics track in her studies.

Azza El Masri

Assa is recognized for an external award, the Fulbright Foreign Student Program. As a graduate student in the School of Communication, Azza is studying Media Communication Studies.

Lisa Fitton

Lisa is recognized for an external award, the ASHA Foundation New Century Scholars Doctoral Scholarship. As a doctoral student in the School of Communication Science & Disorders, Lisa researches the process of bilingual language development.

Rachel Hoge

Rachel is recognized for an external award, the ASHFoundation Graduate Student Scholarship. As a doctoral student in the School of Communication Science & Disorders, Rachel works in the Child Language & Literacy Lab.
