International Internships: Earn a degree and see the world!

The College of Information is accepting applications for the following international internship opportunities. These internships offer students the opportunity to earn credits while getting to know the culture, customs, and history of another country:

Library Intern : London

  • Available for:
    • Summer Sessian 2: June 26Aug. 7, 2008 (six weeks); and
    • Fall 2008: Aug. 28Dec. 11, 2008 (15 weeks). Dates are approximate.

IT Intern : London

  • Available for:
    • Summer Sessian 2: June 26Aug. 7, 2008 (six weeks); and
    • Fall 2008: Aug. 28Dec. 11, 2008 (15 weeks). Dates are approximate.

Librarian Supervisor : Florence

  • One academic year ( August 29, 2008 – August 5, 2009 ). Dates are approximate.

Procedure:
Submit electronic versions of the following to Pam Doffek (doffek@ci.fsu.edu) by March 21, 2008 :

  1. A current resume.
  2. An unofficial transcript of CI studies.
  3. A brief statement of between 500-1000 words about why you have an interest in an internship in the London/Florence library positions and contributions you think you will make to these internship sites.
  4. State clearly which internship you are interested in , and when : Library internship, Librarian Supervisor, or IT internship; Spring/Summer or Summer/Fall.
  5. Complete the Internship application form.

Potential candidates will receive telephone interviews by the program directors of the London and Florence sites.
