SLIS at the ALA 2010 Annual Conference

Once again, the School of Library & Information Studies (SLIS) at the FSU College of Communication & Information will participate with a table in the ALA/ALISE Joint LIS School Reunion at the American Library Association 2010 Annual Conference. This year the event is being held on Sunday, June 27, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Mayflower Renaissance. We invite our alumni, students, faculty and friends to join us.

Members of the SLIS faculty of the will be presenting throughout the 2010 ALA Annual Conference (June 24 – 29, 2010). Some of their presentations include:

    •  Dr. Christie Koontz presents on a panel titled “GIS in Every Library,” Washington Convention Center 206
  • Saturday, June 26, 2010, 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.
    •  Beta Phi Mu (BPM) General Assembly, Mayflower East BR (The Mayflower Renaissance) Dr. Christie Koontz
  • Saturday, June 26, 4:00-5:30 p.m.
    • Dr. Charles McClure presents on “Managing Broadband Capacity and Planning Issues,” LITA, Washington Hilton, Room Columbia 5
  • Sunday, June 27, 2010, 12 noon
    • AASL Awards Luncheon – Dr. Nancy Everhart and Dr. Marcia Mardis will be there. Dr. Mardis will receive their 2010 Distinguished Service Award.
  • Sunday, June 27, 2010, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
    • ALA/ALISE Joint LIS School Reunion, meet up with FSU faculty, staff, students and alumni! Mayflower Renaissance– Grand Ballroom. Dr. Christie Koontz and others.
