Dr. Marcia Mardis, assistant professor at the CCI School of Library & Information Studies and associate director of Partnerships Advancing Library Media (PALM) Center will be one of three presenters at a webinar hosted by the National Science Digital Library (NSDL) on Wednesday, April 21, 4:30 p.m. CDT.
Building the Learning Environment – “Engage, Interact, Immerse, Learn” is part of the American Association of School Librarians’ Learning for Life webinar series. IT will introduce viewers to a variety of freely available, interactive and engaging NDSL resources supporting STEM instruction. With the assistance of Dr. Mardis; Gail Porter Long, chief education officer of Maryland Public Television; and Susan Van Gundy, deputy executive director of the National Science Digital Library, University Corporation for Atmospheric Research, viewers will learn to effectively integrate digital resources into their collections and school library programs, connecting to NSDL’s extensive network of partner libraries, resources, and services.
