We are looking for communications and media production interns who can bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, creativity and a passion for the work we do to celebrate and support women and girls in our community.
We are a nonprofit organization in Tallahassee whose mission is to “improve the lives of women and girls through celebration and support”. We are focused on personal, professional, and economic concerns facing women, girls and their families.
Currently, we are working to implement a new branding and communications strategy including the design and development of a new website and new marketing and awareness materials.
Position Summary:
Communications interns will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of a new communications strategy for the agency. Communications interns will serve as members on the Communications team and assist in the development of new marketing, educational and promotional materials.
Scope and Impact:
Communications interns report directly to the Executive Director and serve on the Communications team which is chaired by a professional communications and branding consultant. This internship will give you an opportunity to hone your skills, help a good cause and build professional relationships in the local community.
Requisite Skills and Knowledge:
We are looking for enthusiastic people who can successfully work both in a team and independently. Excellent written communication skills a must!
We are interested in two Communications interns. At least one must have media production experience and access to media production tools (i.e. video content creation and editing)
Requirements:
This is a time-limited opportunity. The Communications team will meet and accomplish its goals over a three month period mid-May through mid-August, 2015. Therefore, we are asking that Communications Interns commit serve for the duration of this period.
Compensation: This is an unpaid position. Experience may be used for academic credit.
