Communication Intern

Internship Opportunity at the Florida Chamber Foundation

The Florida Chamber Foundation is seeking an intern to join the team who is currently majoring in marketing, communications or a related degree, and wants to gain experience in a professional business environment. The ideal candidate can adapt to a fast-paced work environment with the ability to multi-task. The student should also possess strong writing skills, and graphic design experience is a plus. This paid internship will last one or two semesters and students will be asked to contribute 20 hours per week or more.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Assist in the brainstorming, planning and execution of the Foundation’s annual business conference, the Future of Florida Forum
• Design marketing materials such as save the dates, sponsorship flyers, event agendas, and general brand awareness materials
• Draft press releases, letters to members and assist in the development of the Foundation’s monthly newsletter, Benchmarks
Skills Required:
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Creative thinker
• Ability to multi-task
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent organizational skills
• Experience with Adobe InDesign a plus
