HOURS PER WEEK                  30-40/week, flexible   – paid at $12/hr

 

Position is in Thomasville, GA – company will work with students on their schedules

POSITION SUMMARY

Is charged with providing assistance, as directed, on any and all corporate relations projects. This assistance includes (but is not limited to): writing, editing, design work, fact-checking, researching, and creating professional slide presentations and printed materials for the communications, investor relations, and corporate responsibility functions.  This position also is charged with maintaining the department’s electronic and physical archives. Requires constant interaction with corporate relations team, all corporate departments, and management staff at company subsidiaries. May include interaction with outside audiences.  Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/MAJOR DUTIES

  • Executes regular updates to company intranet and electronic news board, as directed.
  • Creates and updates subsidiary fact sheets. Requires writing, editing, and design work; obtaining information, and fact-checking.
  • Handles request for logos and graphics from corporate departments and subsidiaries.
  • Creates slide presentations.
  • Maintains department’s electronic and physical archives; keeps logos/product images updated.
  • Supports all corporate relations projects as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS

 

  • Capable business writer with some editing skills (critical thinking and questioning important).
  • Solid experience with online graphic design, web, digital media.
  • Experience in researching and fact checking.
  • Strong organizational skills; deadline driven.
  • Must be able to move projects from start to finish.
  • Able to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects at one time.
  • Must have strong competency in Word, PowerPoint, and InDesign and working knowledge of Photoshop.

 

DESIRED EDUCATION

 

Rising senior in communications, public relations, writing, integrated marketing, or related field

 

 

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

LICENSE:                            None required

 

MOBILITY:                         Physically capable of movement to all areas of office, company-related facilities, and community facilities

 

SENSORY:                          Ability to generate written communication as well as read and review correspondence. Ability to use audio visual equipment, computer graphics equipment.

 

COMMUNICATION:        Speech and hearing abilities that allow the individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English (in person and via telephone) and/or other language, if required.

 

OTHER:                               Ability to research, ascertain, implement, and monitor required policies and procedures. Performance of other duties that are deemed to be an integral part of the internship, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
