Summary: Ruvos is seeking an intern to support our community partnerships and philanthropic efforts. This includes working with our existing partners, as well as helping us to establish and grow new ones. This intern should be a college student (preferably Junior, Senior or Graduate student) who resides in Tallahassee, FL. This unpaid intern should be available 15-20 hours per week, working with some of the best in the public health and technology industry. We are passionate about the communities we serve, and this intern will have great opportunities to build and maintain those critical community partnerships. Key objective is to nurture meaningful relationships with key community groups. In essence, the community relations specialist is the principal ambassador for their organization with responsibilities for delivering the employer’s vision within the local community.
Responsibilities Include:
- Nurture meaningful relationships with key community groups
- Act as one of the principal ambassadors for our organization with responsibilities for delivering Ruvos’ vision within the local community
- Implementing community outreach programs
- Organizing events
- Writing and releasing publicity material such as press releases and developing public relations strategies that will promote the organization’s mission.
- Provide administrative support to management when required
- Booking appointments with clients/partners
- Following up with clients/customers
- Attend events on behalf of/with CEO and company
- Calendar Management
- Database building (eg. updating email or contact lists)
- Research on certain topics for blog posts, newsletters or others
- Taking down minutes of meetings
- Creating basic reports (reports on weekly tasks, deliverables, sales)
- Preparing Slideshows (Powerpoint/Keynote Presentations)

Skills & Experience:
- Must be a current college student (preferably Junior, Senior or Graduate Student)
- Must be located in the Tallahassee area and available to work at the headquarters when practical
- Preferred major in Public Health, Marketing/Communications, Information Technology or similar
- Excellent interpersonal skills are a must, and you’ll need to be a team-player to build rapport with various community groups and organizations
- Enthusiastic communicator with strong follow-through skills
- Collaborative and innovative, willing to share ideas and brainstorm.
