Overview: Diverse Computing, Inc. is looking for a Spring 2014 intern who can help us with redesigning our corporate website, http://www.diversecomputing.com. We primarily need assistance with the layout and graphic design of the new site to meet the key goals listed below. This would be a paid position with total project compensation between $500 – $1,000 (depending on the candidate’s skill set). We want to fill this position immediately. Prerequisites of Candidate

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology; Marketing; Advertising; Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT); Integrated Marketing; Computer Science or other related field
• Great graphic design experience
• Very knowledgeable with good user interface design and website conversion strategies
• Prior experience with web design (especially sites that are responsive)
• Web programming experience a plus, but not mandatory
• Ability to look for solutions on your own; self-starter
• Strong degree of professionalism and hard work ethic

 

Key Goals With the New Site

• Make the site more “mobile-friendly” and responsive to mobile phones and tablets
• Improve the conversion rate of customers’ calling in or signing up for a free demo; having better and more prominent call-to-actions
• Will utilize the WordPress platform
• Adding and positioning new content/pages, including:
  • Better-organized blog section
  • A “Live Chat” option
  • New page listing out our employees
  • New videos that we’ve created that showcase features of our company and the different products
  • Better showcase of testimonials
  • Read up on “best web-design practices” and apply them to the design
