INTERN – SOFTWARE ENGINEER

We are seeking a Software Engineer Intern who is highly motivated to take ownership of assigned projects under the mentorship of senior software engineers. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyzes and designs programs, debugs, modifies, and enhances software and/or new products and algorithms used in various applications.

• Uses programming languages and technologies and agile methodologies to write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications.

• Utilizes tools, documentation, and reliable procedures to install and maintain software applications.

• Gathers and defines system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

• Executes established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code; identifies, logs, and debugs assigned issues.

• Participates as a member of a project team to develop reliable, cost effective, and high-quality solutions for products with various levels of complexity.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, EE, IT, or equivalent.

• Able to work 15-20 hrs/wk during normal office hours (Mon-Fri 8:00 am-5:00 pm).

• Understand software applications design tools and languages (Java, C++, C#).

• Knowledge of designing, developing, testing, and implementing mobile-based applications for Windows, Android, and iOS-based operating systems, a plus.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, competent with math and algorithms.

• Understand design for software applications running on multiple platform types (Linux, Windows, and OSX).

• Understand basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures.

• Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
